VAN BUREN COUNTY -- More testimony in a shocking murder trial in Van Buren County. The Jury in the Linda Stermer Murder trial heard from police lab technicians and fire investigators that the fire that destroyed their home in Lawrence Township was arson, and that gasoline was found on the clothing of her dead husband.

They also testified that they found his DNA on the front bumper and on the undercarriage of the van she allegedly used to run him over. The Jury also heard from a woman who claims that Stermer confessed to the crime when they shared a cell at the Van Buren County Jail. But the defense attorney got her to admit that she was taking medication and didn’t always remember things. The trial will continue Friday in Paw Paw.
